Our mission is to promote individual self-development and economic self-sufficiency through education and to maintain pride in culture and heritage among Alaska Natives who are original enrollees of Cook Inlet Region and their descendants.
NEW TCF Life-Time Award Limit Policy
The CIRI Foundation (TCF), per Board direction, recently implemented a Life-Time Award Limit Policy that will impact scholarships and vocational training grants distributed by TCF.
With the number of lineal descendants of CIRI original enrollees eligible for TCF funding growing each year, TCF is preparing to give every future applicant an opportunity to receive funding. TCF anticipates the new policy will allow educational funding to continually be distributed to all eligible applicants.
The effective date for this policy is January 1, 2014; however the first deadline to be included in this policy will be the upcoming March 31, 2014 vocational training/certificate-seeking deadline and subsequently all following deadlines will be included. Awards made before the March 31, 2014 deadline will not be included in a TCF recipient’s Life-Time Award Limit amount.
Please see “TCF’s Life-Time Award Limit Policy” for more details on the need for this policy, the implementation process, and how the policy will impact TCF recipients.
